- HOW TO COLLECT 2MC POINTS:
- Log miles. Each Trip entered by logging miles earns 2 points. You may
only enter 4 Trips per day. Each time a participant logs miles, the
associated Trip applies to any open challenges.
- Challenge yourself. A participant may challenge him/herself by pledging
a set number of Trips he/she will do every week for a set number of
weeks. Each challenge shall last no more than 10 weeks. Once the
participant logs his/her Trips on the Site, he/she will collect points
according to the Point Chart. The challenge will conclude early if the
participant fails to reach the weekly goal. At the end of each challenge, a
participant may start a new self-challenge.
- Challenge a friend. A participant may challenge his/her friends via
Facebook or e-mail. Participant shall challenge his/her friends to make a
set number of Trips for a set number of weeks. Each challenge shall last
no more than 10 weeks. If the participant’s friend is already a registered
2MC user and accepts the challenge, both participants will collect points
according to the Point Chart once the Trips are logged on the Site. If the
participant’s friend is not a registered 2MC user and accepts the challenge,
the friend must first register on the Site before points can be awarded. The
challenge will conclude early if either participant fails to reach the weekly
goal. Each participant is limited to 5 ongoing challenges including selfchallenge
at once. Participants may not engage in more than one challenge
with a specific friend at a time.
- Join a team. Participants may join any one of three teams – Red (Trips for
Kids), Gold (Alliance for Biking and Walking), or Blue (Alliance of
Climate Education). Each team has a Team Leader assigned by Sponsor.
Sponsor reserves the right to assign participants to specific teams if the
participants fail to choose a team. From time to time, Sponsor and
assigned Team Leaders may give team participants promotional giveaways
or bonus points (up to 5 points) to encourage participation or reward
certain activities. These activities will include, but not be limited to,
special activities arranged through Team Leader dispatches on Twitter and
Facebook as well as incentivizing exceptional team participation. All
Team Leaders have an equal number of bonus points to award. Sponsor
will, in good faith, work to monitor competitive activity to encourage a
fair competition.
- TEAM RANKING. The “team ranking” is based on the team’s “score”. The
score is determined by an aggregate total of all individual team participants’ point
totals. The team with the highest score is deemed to be winning at the current
time. Sponsor shall present the “bonus” grant to the Beneficiary
Organization (either Trips for Kids, Alliance for Biking and Walking or
Alliance for Climate Education)
associated with the team with the highest score on October 31, 2010 at 11:59:59
PM Pacific Time (“PT”) . The winning team shall be posted on the 2MC website
on or about November 30, 2010.
